It is vital to keep your hips flexible and mobile, if you desire to stay active throughout your life. Many of your lower body movements are driven with good hip movement. Golf, tennis, baseball, softball, football, bowling, and even frisbee require proper hip mobility and coordination if it is to be done at a high level. Plus, you may avoid those chronic, nagging injuries that seem to be common these days.
The routine I demonstrate in the video above is one I personally use each morning. I find a combination of self-massage or myofascial release and stretching helps to significantly improve my overall hip and low back flexibility and function.
