This is a common conversation with patients that first come to see me for regular back and/or neck complaints. A large majority of today’s population pays no attention to their posture on a daily basis. I would estimate that number to be over 95%. Yet, back and neck/shoulder pain are an almost daily complaint by those same people. HELLO!!!! Anyone there?
If you want things to be different in your life, start with some small daily habits that eventually become part of you. I want you to get to the point where you don’t even have to really think about it. You just do them.

Imagine your life free of neck and back discomfort. I know some of you have a hard time with that idea. You will have a harder time when your pain gets worse.
I do recommend a thorough posture, spinal, and neurological evaluation. I perform a complete exam at Alternative Health Management. You may have multiple muscle imbalances/weaknesses throughout your postural system. Simply stretching may be making things much worse. Everyone has their own unique patterns.
